There are three basic ways to use PocketLog:

• Repetitive data - where you have a large number of samples of the same part or object.   Often characterized by a small number of different forms.  Typical applications would be SPC (Statistical Process Control), meter reading, pole inspections, Photographer's Log Book, sales data, etc.  

• Ad-hoc data - where you have a large number of forms, and select a form to fit the situation.  Some applications might include Emergency Response or EMT,  Natural Resource Surveys where you have a different form for different species, and the like.

• Pre-set sequence - where you have a form for each sample point.  Useful for Preventive Maintenance program, or for Inventory counts.  Completing one form takes you to the next form in the list.

Photographer's Log Book:

Use PocketLog to record the context and detail of the photos you take.

Customizing the log (Form) to your specific needs is easy.

Use with virtually any Palm.

Holds enough records for extended shoots - up to 1000 records depending on the size of your text fields.

Manufacturing, SPC:

Use PocketLog for on the shop floor to collect SPC data.  Collect measurements, gauge readings, weights, temperatures and a wide variety of data.  Upload the data to an Excel spreadsheet or to your favorite SPC analysis package.

Combine with the Meazura rugged Palm for a superior solution.

Manufacturing, Maintenance:

Use PocketLog for on the shop floor to manage your machine inspection process and improve accountability. Your Forms detail the items to be checked, and record the actual inspection and findings.  Upload to an Access database for a permanent record, or to Excel for quick print-out.

Also use in conjunction with your Preventive Maintenance program.  You can define a form for each machine and then download the specific forms to the Palm.

Use with the Meazura Palm for an outstanding combination.

Use PocketLog in the restaurant to manage your inventory.

Use also to collect Sub-Component or environmental data.

Another Forestry application might be Scaling data if you don't need calculations in the field.
