Interface to RS232 Gauges and Instruments

Connect RS232 devices to your PC, Laptop, TabletPC or UMPC (Ultra-Mobile PC). The DataGet RS232 adapter has a standard DB9 connector to fit your existing cables. All 9 pins work like a standard PC Serial Port.  The DataGet RS232 adapter allows you to communicate with your gauge or device in ways other RS232 gauge adapters cannot.

• Attaches to Scales, Voltmeters, Calipers, DRO's, pH Meters, digital read-out boxes, air gauges, humidity and temperature sensors, GPS systems, HVAC, spectrographs and more.
• Works with Fowler, Tesa, Sylvac, Ohaus, Wilson Rockwell, uMaxum and many others.  The DataGet software comes with predefined setups for these gauges and more.
• Does not require batteries.  The DataGet adapter is powered entirely from the USB connector, and uses extremely low amounts of power.  The gauge interface circuitry uses components designed for handheld/mobile applications, and will not drain your laptop's battery.
• Intelligent interface - manages signals to and from the gauge, and allows gauge access in ways not available to a standard RS232 port - request readings by toggling DTR, BREAK, or sending a request string.  Signals the PC when a button is pressed on the gauge and a reading is ready.
• Flexible - one system handles a variety of otherwise incompatible gauges and/or instruments.  You can even accommodate different kinds of measurements such as dimensions, weight, voltage, and the like.
• Works with standard 9-pin, DB9 Serial cables and connectors.  Uses a standard USB interface cable. No additional adapters required.
• Use multiple adapters to attach multiple gauges.  Map specific variables to specific adapters/gauges, or accept input from any attached gauge without worry of data collisions.  Mix different gauge types - such as Calipers and Depth gauge.
